Auditions for company membership are held annually through the EPA system of the Actors Equity Association. HTC artistic staff attend the auditions and will invite selected actors to attend a company workshop. Once you attend 4-6 workshops, you may fill out our membership application. HTC will make a decision on your membership based on talent and commitment.
As an HTC member, you will have an artistic home, a place to
work on your craft without fear of failure. You will also be given
casting consideration alongside agent submissions and possible
advertised submissions.
Members will also be showcased to the industry via scene nights,
short plays, staged readings, and mainstage productions (if cast).

In exchange, HTC will require each member to give up to 6 hours of volunteer work per month (when necessary), which will include administrative, rental supervision, and/or theatrical construction work. The member must attend 3 out of 4 workshops per month and support all HTC productions. We encourage our actors to work on outside projects and ask that if you are in rehearsal for such a project please notify the Membership Coordinator in letter form to request a leave of absence.
